Trust & Security
Education data deserves thoughtful handling.
Student work is personal. Here is what we do with it, in plain terms. Where we cannot promise something, we say what we do instead.
Privacy
Student work is collected for one purpose: the educator’s own teaching. It is stored in a Singapore-hosted database with access limited to the account that created it and the people that account has chosen to share with. We do not sell data, and we do not use student work to train models for anyone else.
- Data belongs to the educator or organisation that created it.
- Soft delete with a recovery window, then permanent removal on request.
- Personal data is handled under Singapore’s PDPA; our Privacy Policy sets out the detail.
Human oversight
AI in AugDapt suggests; people decide. A mark, a comment, a report or a message to a family is never sent without an educator seeing it. Where the model is unsure, the interface says so instead of hiding it.
- Every AI suggestion is editable and attributable.
- Confidence is shown, not smoothed over.
- A second opinion is offered before feedback is saved, never applied automatically.
Responsible access
Who can see what is a setting, not an accident. Educators see their own work; an organisation admin sees the organisation’s; AugDapt staff work through an audited admin portal with step-up authentication for anything sensitive.
- Row-level security on every table; the server enforces ownership on every request.
- Admin actions are logged; sensitive ones require a fresh authenticator code.
- Families see only what a teacher has approved.
What we do not claim
No system is completely secure, and no AI is always right. We do not describe AugDapt as either. We build so that a mistake is visible and reversible, and we would rather show an educator a confidence level than a guarantee.
